Design Challenge

Baltimore Center for Psychotherapy

  • Distinguish BCP from other therapist cohorts by highlighting their unique collection of therapy approaches and physical offices as a place to find healing

old website
  • The white background feels flat and ordinary

  • Imagery and photo treatment are dissimilar

  • Too much text without any formatting or hierarchy

Research

Focus on ways to make BCP’s website inviting. Their previous site (and most of their local competitors) appears static and text-heavy. Images should have people and show off their interior space, and the messaging needs to feel welcoming/encouraging.

initial mockups
  • Full bleen allows larger compositions of photo and text

  • Clear block sections create sections and clear divisions of information

  • Text styles established to create hierarchy and legibility

  • Inviting photos of space and people
